Platinum Hair Braiding by Anoba Rose
Anoba Rose is from the Ivory Coast of West Africa and has a passion for the history and culture of African women’s hairstyles. Hair has played a significant role in the culture of ancient African civilizations symbolizing one’s family background, social and marital status, spirituality, and tribe.
Anoba began to braid the hair of her eight sisters and their friends at the age of 15, falling in love with braiding and the joy it gave to them. Anoba obtained a degree in marketing, but her love for her culture and braiding continued. Anoba has worked with professional braiders at various salons, working with multicultural clients for the last 15 years.
Anoba says, “I love seeing the smile on my client’s face when they are finished. My priority is when they look in the mirror, they are happy and feel confident and believe the time and investment in their look is worth the investment.”
